My thoughts and prayers today are for those on the aircraft and their families. Truly a sad day for the aviation community.

I'd like to ask the same, if anyone here would PM me the initials of the captain? I don't know anyone else there to ask.

Very sad..... really hits close on many levels (username). I was in the running for a few jobs over the course of the last three years but the ebb and flow of the 121 supplemental world killed the first one and then they dropped the news about the move to MCO for another.

In addition, I just sent a flight through there this morning at my current airline.

I did find out a friend of mine over there was not the FO. RIP to everyone. I guess all of National's operations have been grounded. Not 100% on that last part.

For those of us who fly that departure regularly, its bone chilling tragic. I also have several close friends @ NAC...any personal information, please PM.
