Brownie....how do you really feel? Seriously though, after 8 years I completely have to agree.

Back to the tragedy today....just horrible beyond words....

Did anyone catch on CNN today the ex FAA chief was talking with Wolf about how Cargo operators do not have the same standards as pax carriers. Then he started to talk about Colgan pilots and comparing them to UPS and other cargo pilots. Trying to find the video online....

agreed.

website is telling customers shipments are a write-off.

I'm sure UPS has a dozen or more truck/train accidents which result in loss of property every year and has to deal with those kind of losses on a regular basis.

Other than the loss of life, business as usual.

He is correct....cargo pilots were proven by the most hypocritical agency that brown can buy to be second tier aviators that don't deserve to have the same safety and rest standards as people pilots. GMAFB

If the bodies of the crew were not removed before the NTSB arrived, what makes one think packages were removed???

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams

Nightly News story tonight briefly mentions the Cargo industry lobby winning an exemption from the new crew rest regulations. Never understood that. There's no difference in the job, there shouldn't be any difference in the rest rules.

My sincere condolences go out to the crew members and their families, friends, and colleagues. Absolutely tragic.

No, I agree. But I had to wonder what the hell a truck was doing there. The only thing I could think of otherwise was that the driver was helping in traffic control... Which also wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. Unless it was a stupid news photo like the Asiana 777 taking off with the crashed one in the background.

Just heard on the local news that it decsended 7000 feet in one minute. Don't know if that's true just what they said.

Just reminds you that it could be anyone of us any day. RIP and tailwinds to the crew. Condolences to the families and UPS pilot group.

Grow up.

You sound like a 14 year old.

Frankly, your comments here are an embarrassment not only to our profession, but our pilot group.
