I've attended several of Kit Darby's "Airline Interview" seminars over the years ... I actually found them very educational.

Kit forecast the aviation consolidation many years ago, I can remember him preaching that story back in 1987. If I remember correctly, Kit was once a United pilot? He started his aviation consulting business during periods of unemployment (sort of an Albie Sr.?).

What makes you think he's a lawyer?

Kit Darby is no Albie. Doesn't even hold a candle to Albie. And yes I have worked with mr darby.

That website was a bit hard to navigate using only my phone, so when I saw Litigation / expert witness / consulting I suppose I jumped to lawyer instead of someone who consults with lawyers over aviation incidents.

I do still think he was a bit premature in making that statement. Although I could see how the news company may have pushed for it.

Bit different, wouldn't you say ? I'm sure I'm not the only one who sometimes can only log on here with a phone.

Kit Darby?....Interesting, there was once a captain at my airline with that name who was "allowed" to resign because, I believe, he was caught letting a corporate pilot friend of his ride in the jumpseat of one of our 757's. Probably a different Kit though huh? Let the investigators do their job and be patient.

Kit Darby is an aviation expert in his own mind. Knowledgeable, yes, but not any more so that 80% of the pilots on this forum. He did keep up with hiring at most carriers and his employment seminars were helpful to a lot of aspiring pilots...but an " aviation expert" ? Nope.

I knew Kit for a long time and have flown with him dozens of times. To my knowledge, he never was admitted to any bar except the one in the hotel and only if he promised not to talk about himself all night.

Decent guy who likes himself a lot but his comments about the accident are premature, conjecture and should be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. Let's let the professionals do their job and in due course, we'll have all the pieces to the puzzle.

Eager to find out what the hell happened.

Eager to find out what the expert on CNN saying the way the fans looked meant the airplane was below flight idle based on how intact they were says.
