Tips to survive a plane crash

How to get out of an airplane crash alive | 5 On Your Side Survival Guide

Interesting statistic on the incapacitation of FAs during mishaps.

Another reason it's important to have an action plan is that there's a good chance you won't have too much assistance from the flight crew. Teixeira said one study found that 45 percent of the flight attendants in survivable crashes are incapacitated in some way.

Words to be engraved into every type of flight manual.

This would be a non-issue if the FAA just banned plane crashes...problem solved

If an airplane crashes, your survivability will depend solely on G-force deceleration. The human body can only tolerate so much.

Now if you are talking about tips like do NOT inflate your life vest in the airplane in the event of a water crash landing, then yes. The Ethiopian 767 had many passengers who actually lived through the crash sequence, but were then subsequently pinned up against the ceiling as water filled in because they had inflated their life vest inside the airplane and drowned to death.

Passengers should be tested for sleep apnea; those with it may miss important safety briefings, or fail to wake up during the crash.
