Every time I read these reports I am thankful that I went the cargo route instead of hauling the "Public". I would take a hazcan full of dangerous goods over the general public any day of the week. I don't know how you guys put up with this nonsense every time you go to work.

I must have missed the part where it says she has retained counsel or asked for compensation? Anyone have a link?

Generally tort law requires that a duty was owed to someone, that the duty was somehow incorrectly preformed due to some type of negligence and that injury occurred as a result. Up to the lawyers to show injury. I really feel sometimes that an automatic reversal of damages sought get awarded to the defendant in potentially frivolous law suits. In other words if she were to seek $10M in damages and lost, then she would owe that amount to the defendant. Thoughts?

She didn't. I'm not sure why some people think she did. People have preconceived notions and want to distort the facts to fit them. Just a pax describing an incident with some over-dramatic flair. Pilots occasionally do it too. So there I was...

You should hear the patients describe some of the medical things I did to them to their relatives. Yes, I stopped grampa's heart for a while. On purpose! What is routine to you up front may be frightening to those in back.

I'm not sure what sort of bizarre world people think that it is easy to file a frivolous lawsuit, generally lawyers won't take a case that is truly frivolous as it costs a lot of time and money to litigate. It is always a balance, and obviously the unfortunately successful abusive lawsuits are well-publicized due to their emotional appeal.

MSP Crashpad, find a lawyer and grab a beer with them sometime, they will tell you more than you'd ever want to know about your question. Ms. Cardiomd is one (yes, the only chance I get to screw a lawyer, usually it is the other way around).

Those systems supply pressure to the aircraft, and when they stopped working the plane dropped thousands of feet.

Aside from the fine journalistic grasp of how the pneumatic system works, what's the procedure for Dual Pack Failure?

Masks on......and go down!
