Saab 340
I was on a domestic flight from GGT to NAS yesterday morning............Sitting on the window exit wing seat. As we climbed out after take off, I was looking out of the window and noticed flames coming out of the top of the engine cowling, for about 3 or 4 seconds............I did mention it to the cabin stewardess who informed the pilot. The flight continued on with no issues. I can only assume this kind of thing happens from time to time?
Thanks |

Thanks This wouldn't surprise me. I have seen them do some sketchy things in and out of MYBS. |

Same guys who plowed into a storm at mhh....

Take it from a guy who's got 3,000 hours in the plane. That is NOT normal.

Never normal on any turbine plane in flight. Might be possibly be harmless to see smoke/flames from exhaust during engine start on the ground...but not the cowling.
