The industry needs to start training this stuff. In the meantime, at least someone who has a bit more knowledge might have a fighting chance and not be completely blindsided. That is my hope, anyway. I can't fix airline training, but can do a small part.

AF447 back in the news. Sure the issues at Boeing prompted the lawyers to try this one again.

The Paris prosecutor now says there were "blameworthy infringements" on the part of Air France, notably in crew training, and says Airbus under-estimated the risks posed by ice on the sensors.
