Default Carb icing

The good doc does well after what sounds like carb ice.

Thankful I have an injected engine.

Default Ice Ice Baby

Amazing how susceptible aircraft are to carb ice even at cruise. Here is an Australian article and chart that are pretty good:

Glad everything turned out okay for him.

How do you know it's carb ice? If it was, one would think he would have pulled carb heat on. In a Cessna 150 if the engine is having any issues there are only the basic items to check: fuel on both (or maybe try individual left/right), ignition to both, mixture full rich/in, and carb heat on.

Article said engine ran rough then pulled carb heat and it quit. Pilot said he thought icing. Don't know for sure it was.
