German Wings A320 crashed

What is the best L/D speed for a A320 ? One of the TV experts talked about loosing both engines. I looked at the airplanes airspeed / altitude plot which has the airspeed over 400 kts during from max altitude to impact.

From the news reports, I don't think a dual engine failure is the most plausible explanation.

i dont fly the airbus but isnt their an AD out about the aircraft pitching down becuase it thinks its going to stall and then the pilot cant correct it unless they do a memory item putting it into alternate law?

I think it's related to the 321s and Alpha Floor protection with the blockage of multiple AOA probes.

Don't fly it yet but have the manuals. Not a memory item related to that.

You may be right. The Emergency EASA AD 2014-0266-E states that when both AOA probes are blocked, as with icing, the aircraft will sense an impending stall and command a nose down attitude, which if allowed to develop to a high enough Mach number, may not be able to be overcome with the forces available through the side stick controllers. The AD was issued in December of 2014.

It involves turning off any two of the three air data computers, all located right over the captains head, in reach of either crew member.
If you see your low speed tape shoot upwards which then results in the plane nosing over, hit two of the three.
This procedure was in response to a German A321 having something like this occur. Not sure when.
