Sad news. May they rest in peace. :(

With a 15 year old tail repair on this A321, seems like the cause for an 8km debris field. Reminiscent of Air China 611, 22 years after improper tail repair.
Rest In Peace...... |
CNN's official aviation expert Richard Quest, who has "flown many times as a passenger on airlines all over the world" has released his analysis of the accident: Russian plane crash: Quest finds it mysterious - CNN.com
He has found that "whatever happened was dramatic enough it made the plane uncontrollable or it became uncontrollable and stalled because of the way it was being flown." I think this solves it. Thanks, Dick! |

CNN has a closet full of "experts" in every field, from "professional" Western movie set street-crossers to "seasoned" astronauts.

Its always depressing to see the stampede of lawyers and "experts" trying to get their face on TV so they can get on the legal gravy train the accident will engender.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/03/wo...T.nav=top-news “We absolutely exclude the technical failure of the plane, and we absolutely exclude pilot error or a human factor,” Aleksandr A. Smirnov, a former pilot and the airline’s deputy director for aviation, said." I only wish our western accident investigation processes were so quick and thorough  |
Sounds fishy that a loaded A321 could make it to 31,000 feet in 23 minutes after take off? Never flown the A321 but I've always heard they were somewhat of a dog when it comes to climb performance.
