A passenger tries to open the door in flight
 

A passenger tried to commit suicide by opening the door of this aircraft in flight ( Palma-Ibiza UX1705,4-1-2016) , fortunately it was reduced before achieving their goal.



In the video, the aircraft, an ATR 72-500 Air Europa (operated by Swiftair) EC-LYJ where the events occurred.

I am really shocked by this news. The person who is trying to commit suicide is really very sick. Thanks to the airline team to save that person.

Opening a door on a pressurized airliner in flight as a method of suicide is going to work about as well as attempting to lift the airplane off the ground by hand and drop it on his own head. :rolleyes:

Here's hoping they indict and convict the guy on attempted murder & terrorism charges then throw behind bars for the rest of his life. Or just grant him his wish and execute him.

I'll have sympathy for the person who tried to take their own life without harming other people in the process. Anyone else can rot.
