Maybe she had a plan all along for an engine-out event in ASEL, so the event was more a matter of execution than terrified paralysis. When I was a student pilot I was spring-loaded to react to an engine-out on TO and knew which way to turn and where to land.

Regardless of what plan (and she sure should have had one), I also feel she was one very lucky person as others have also noted. She survived unscathed and that is all that I can draw from this. That is all that counts in the end for this type of incident. I still hold to my concerns.
