Once again, the FBI had advanced warning this guy was a ticking time bomb, did the FBI warn Delta, or any airline for that matter, nope!

The FBI must have more important things to do, like down voting Russian memes on Reddit.

And what as the FBI going to do? You can't deprive individuals, even mentally ill ones, of much without due process. Saying you're hearing voices is not a crime. Saying they are telling you they want you to join ISIS is not a crime.

We have a major mental health issue in the US and until at start to address it, we will just have to get used to this.

Amen. I would bet that you could see a relationship between the decreasing funding for mental health in the US and the increase in random violence like this. Now, I'm not saying correlation is necessarily causation, but the relationship is at the very least compelling.

Must be a slave to fashion. Who needs boots when you can chase down terror suspects in your new LeBron's.

I don't think you understand the issue here, Delta is a corporation that can deny travel to anyone without due process. If the airline doesn't know someone is a safety threat, they are blind to possible incidents such as this.

This guy turned himself into the FBI in November saying he was going to do this.

I'm not sure where you are coming from. My perspective is that the problem is that the rights of the few are championed over the safety of the many. The "right" to travel isn't in our Bill of Rights. Hence, there are many people on the Do not Fly lists. However, enough people use patient/client privilege to ensure that people with mental illnesses are protected.

I do agree that mental illness is a huge health issue.

It's ok. If anything the FBI would probably make someone go crazy. They need to justify their jobs anyway. Can't be a hero without having a villain!!!
