I agree we do have good pay and work rules compared to the others. However, I am not so sure that AWAC will be ok this time. The difference is the price of oil and the profitability of the CRJ-200. When we lost United the 200 was still highly sought after. This time every major would like to dump the CRJ-200 along with all the other plans that cannot cope with these high fuel cost. If Airways dumps us I am not so sure anyone else will want airplanes that lose money hand over fist every time they fly.

What feelings do you all have on AWAC getting rid of the 200's and going bigger or turboprop?

Probably not going to happen. Management wants new pay rates for the large airplanes, the union doesn't want to budge. So basically we're stuck with a bunch of 200's. Something has to give somewhere along the way though, because when that Airways contract runs out...there's no way in h*** that they're going to renew it for all 50 seat flying. Just my $.02.
