Quote: *I* don't care...but our fsdo might.
TSOd headsets aren't required by the FAA...only some ops specs. I don't think the fsdo will really care.

My company's ops specs require it.

+1 for Faro Air in-ear. Use it in the 777. I will say this though, I don't recommend an "in ear" if you only plan on using one ear and/or don't talk to the guy next to you through an intercom. It's hard to hear yourself talk, you sound a bit muffled. Try talking to someone with one ear closed with your finger and that's much what it's like. Other than that, great quality and much cheaper than the Clarify Aloft. It'll be in my ear for 6hrs at a time and I forget it's there.

Yep, very much agreed. I used my Clarity on my first few trips and it was tough to hear the other guy and I'd talk louder to compensate so the Telex works better in that regard for sure.

Not going to lie, took a while to get used to the Clarity Aloft.
The ear buds work so good it's literally like your listening to two different channels at the same time. But once you're used to it I think it's great.
Way better then wearing a Telex 850 sideways.

For a single-ear headset, you can't beat the Vincent van Gogh "signature edition".

I traded in a Telex 850 and haven't looked back since.

Too funny, I switched from Clarity Aloft to Telex 850.. LOL
Didn't like the flimsy wire in the back of my head and the fact mic had to be on the left (only option at the time, not sure about now) .. Vive la différence! :-)

Quote: Looks just like that collarset, except $500 more.
Except you still need a Plantronics or Telex headset...Collarsets is a headset modification, not a self-contained headset on its own.
