Quote: Yep. Classic “Butwhatabout” fallacy.

Let’s get rid of all safety FAR’s because heart disease kills more people than aircraft crashes.
Typical leftist hyperbole, and what's worse, it's coming from an aviation professional with a presumed ability to apply critical thinking.

If this were an aircraft accident, any normal investigator would be focusing on how the system functioned and where it failed. There were systemic failures with the FBI and the local sheriff's office. Notice the lack of surprise that it was this monster that shot up the school and not someone else... why? Where did the system fail? What caused this monster to do this?

Instead, it's "BAN AR-15's!" "NRA TERRORISTS!" etc. Yet, when someone uses anything other than a firearm to commit an atrocity, like say the NYC van attack, the focus tends to be where it should be. Why the double standard? Using the left's approach to guns, why aren't they insisting on banning Muslims from entering this country when they've caused so much grief? Could it be perhaps because not all Muslims are terrorists? If so, then why isn't the law-abiding American gun owner given the same consideration? If this monster got into an F-250 with a huge grill guard and killed the same number of kids as they all walked out, would we be shouting for truck control or banning grill guards?

Emotions should be kept out of this.
Quote: And don't play stupid. You know exactly what kind of weapons were designed for combat in urban environments, especially as a gun nut.
EXCELLENT POINT!!!!!

Stay away ANYTHING AR platformed with barrel length of 16".

Stick to things like an M1, original M1A, original FN FAL, original AR10, A1-A4's, Siminovs, SVT's, RPK's and the like since "urban combat" really wasn't their specialty.

Your post makes no sense. People have looked at the stats. Why do we have more fatalities by guns than any other developed country? Answer that. The answer isn't, because the cops aren't doing their job. How do you explain the Vegas shooter. Was that the fault of the FBI too? What about Columbine? Or maybe the other dozen school shootings in the past few years. Were all of those the fault of the FBI?

And what is actually disappointing is that you are relating someone's ability to be a pilot with their stance on guns, in an effort to discredit them. Not their opinion, but them as a professional. Everything we are doing here is discussing opinions based on limited amount of information that has been put released from partisan think tanks, you know, because they are the only ones allowed to study gun violence.

Thank you for proving my point. All emotion, zero logic.

Replace the word 'gun' with 'lethal instrument.' That 'lethal instrument' can be a gun, a knife, a truck, feet/fists/hands, a blunt instrument. Now, where's your focus?

Did you know that there were 4 times more people killed by knives than rifles of any kind last year? Did you also know that there were twice as many people killed by fists and feet than any rifle last year? Where are the hysterics?

I called out another poster for utilizing the “butwhatabout” fallacy.

Now who’s getting emotional?

Breitbart wants their misleading and unproven article back. But don't let that get in your way. Fact: 650 murders were committed by fists and 1000 by knives. Almost between 9000-13,000 were committed by guns.

Pesky facts.

I couldn't care less about anyone's stance on guns. If you want one, buy one. If you don't, don't.

I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy and the shameful exploitation of a tragedy in pursuit of an agenda that has nothing to do with solving the actual problem.

Hmmm.... what's the difference between a gun and a rifle? Also, this comes from the FBI, not Breitbart...

Did you even read that?

I posted the actual FBI report, not a Breitbart article. You do the math using the tables and decide for yourself... this is also where critical and analytical thinking comes into play, but sadly, you’re more interested in parroting articles than actually expressing your own opinion based on data and some knowledge about the topic.

Oh well...
