Put yourself in the cops frame of mind. Someone calls in a threat you show up and see wires and a battery from who knows how far away. My guess is they didn't walk right up to her thinking she had a bomb strapped to her body. Take a picture of that 'art' from 50 feet away and see if it looks the same. They should be commended for not capping her ass.

I'm not disagreeing, but I do think that perhaps after they had some words with her about common sense, something less serious than class 1 misdemeanor charges could have been filed. At the end of the day, it really wasn't a hoax device, nor did she intend it to be a threat. Creating a fake bomb and terrorizing people with it is completely different from wiring some lights to a shirt and wearing it ignorantly.
