Question for Southwest Pilots. How often is training at the company (annual? every 6 months?), and also, how long do you have to be with the airline prior to Captain upgrade?

once a year…usually for 3-4 days. Upgrade right NOW is running around 7 hrs for most jr. What it goes to is anyone’s guess.

Well, theoretically once a year but let’s be honest. Training scheduling has been moving people up for recurrent by 1-3 months. Then it’s up to you if you’re going to let them get away with that.

You have been asking some very specific questions over the last couple of weeks. Starting to make me paranoid lol.
