JAIKE 2 into TEB problem

For those of you who spend too much time flying to TEB:

The JAIKE arrival has changed a little, and a very informal survey suggests that less than half of the pilots are flying it correctly. Before, the altitudes were "expect" altitudes, so you had to build it into the FMS. Now they're mandatory (hard) altitudes with the exception of the altitude at SBJ.

So, when cleared to "descend via the JAIKE arrival," you should cross ILENE @ 13, WACKI @ 11, and REGLE @ 7000. But don't descend below 7000' until receiving a clearance because it's "expect 4000" at SBJ. Plus, PHL runs V3 SBJ traffic at 4000' to TEB as well as MMU, CDW, etc.

Thank you for the warning! Will keep all in mind next time we get the STAR.

I thought I saw at the FBO at BWI this week a NOTAM that the JAKIE arrival into TEB had been axed?!

Not axed, just an intersection added, one moved, and a change in the wording on altitudes.

Thanx kt61, I'll look into it when I get back to work, and I'll pass the word around.
