I'm a pure civilian individual, but I always loved the look of those airplanes. They just seemed to be flying fast even while parked. Great shots.

I wish there were at least a few flying examples of all these great old warbirds. So many great planes that we'll never see fly again.

Nice shots. The F-8 was one of the last old school gunfighters, it was famous for swapping ends at critical junctures in a fight. One of my old skippers flew them and he always carried his flight gloves at chest level in the zipper of his flight suit, the quicker to whip them out and slap anyone into a challenge.
Times have changed, but those guys were always ready to fight and win.
