Thanks.

A auick question and not being impertinent, but you are moving to FLL, but you are looking for, but don't have, a flying job where low-timers are welcome? Is that it? You need 1100 hours, sooner, not later. You need to be flexible on location, too.

If you can find a pipeline patrol job, go for it. Otherwise, I would say bite the bullet and go instruct for 12-18 months. One of the major cargo carriers just had a 57 year old new hire (I flew with him) so the age ceiling is pretty thin these days. Get your 1500 hrs ASAP, get on with a regional, upgrade, become a check airman and with the hiring/shortage that exists (and will exist for years to come) you are a few years away from the majors. Delta and United are even hiring pilots without 1000 turbine PIC. Best of luck to you!

I am moving to FL without an aviation job. FL is a place I want to relocate to and there are plenty of opportunities in my other career in the state if I need it. In addition, FL is target rich when it comes to a good amount of aviation opportunities as well, and as we all know, many a job prospect have gotten opportunities just being around the FBO; so the place all around works for me.
