FAA Single Engine ATP

Hello fellow pilots

A question out there to see if anyone can help me decide on this. Just looking over my log books and found that I have enough hours for the ATP with the FAA. They are two type of FAA ATP which is a Single Engine and Multi Engine ATP in the United states. My question is that if I pursued to get a Single engine ATP instead of the Multi ATP does that qualified for the position that required ATP? Or Can i convert a single ATP to let say Thailand or Malaysia ATP? OR do Single engine ATP only good for the United states? I just don't want to spend extra $7709 to get a Multi Engine ATP in the USA if the single engine will get me job as well.. Thanks for your help

You need the ATP in the category and class you intend to fly if you need the ATP. The Thai DCA will only convert at the equivalent levels.
