Part 135 instrument minimums

Hey,

Got a question about 135 captain mins.
Hold at least a commercial license
Must hold an instrument rating or an ATP license for airplane
1200 hours total time
500 hours cross-country
75 hours instrument, either hood and/or actual, of which 50 hours must be in actual flight
100 hours night

Can any of that instrument time be simulator? The FAR really doesn't specify...

Doing the math, it appears that 25 hours of the 75 can be in the simulator.

Anyone have any experience with this? right now i have 51 hours of actual and sim instrument time in airplanes and 30 hours FTD/ATD simulator instrument time. I'm trying to find out if I have to go out and get another 24 hours of hood time, or if i have enough instrument time now.

I just did my 135 ride last week. Had 4 hours of simulator instrument out of the 75 and the fed counted it. All its saying is 50 of the hours must be in flight. Under the hood or actual. 25 hours can be a sim. But those hours must be logged with a CFII and the sim has to be certified for it. Cant just be a BATD on a desk at the FBO.

Yeah actual flight means either IMC or under the hood in an aircraft. That leaves 25 for the sim, if you want.
