You don't have it yet. maybe if I could clarify the fact that I just have all the requirements done and waiting on beuracracy. But I definitely would not check it unless I could clarify.

Put it on your resume with the caveat. Also, maybe go to a job fair and ask. My two cents. Don't lie.

I'd say the best place to ask this wold be at a job fair, as said above. You get points for honesty and get to say right to HR that you wanted the job bad enough to spend the time and money required to get a degree. "All for _insert name of Airline, or Air Line_ here."

Fundamental question on the application:

“College Degree?....... Yes or No”.

You’ve met the requirements to graduate, and receive your degree. However, you don’t have the degree in hand as of yet. OK to discuss at a job fair.

Submitting an appalication? No would be the correct response with an “*” and an explanation. Iterate the fact in your cover letter to the airline of your choice with supporting documentation to support your claim. A raised stamp on the documentation from your university will go a long way too. Good luck.

I've heard horror stories of guys escorted out of the building for pretty much the same thing. "Your application dated xx/xx/xx said you had a degree, but your diploma and graduation record says you got your degree 2 months later. Tell us about that." If you say you have something in your application but you didn't actually have it until 2 months later, then they very well may conclude that it was a lie on the application and you'll never work there, ever.

Why risk getting blacklisted to get one question on your app updated 2 months early? Don't ever do that on an application, ever, even if somebody at a job fair says yea go ahead. The question is can you survive being asked why you put down an answer at a particular time, when the answer was not verifiable as true at that time or when written documentation will show that it was not in fact true, and you knew it.

This goes a bit deeper than accidentally clicking submit when your class 1 medical is a month overdue.

All that said, why not contact the registrar and see if they can graduate you early? I had to do that to get an advanced degree included in some paperwork, to the point where I skipped the term project and took a B in my final class and threw away a 4.0 GPA because the paperwork submission date had been moved up by over a year with very little notice so I couldn't wait until the end of the term. I had to be able to prove I had an advanced degree right away, so I told the teacher I was done submitting work and could I have my diploma immediately, pretty please. Less than a month later I had a final transcript and diploma. It turned out it didn't matter because of reasons, but the point is that some colleges will understand your situation and may graduate you immediately if you ask the right person.

You might try requesting a copy of your college transcripts. It should show if the degree has been awarded (absent having physically received the diploma). If it's listed there, I'd be comfortable updating my apps. Otherwise I'd wait.

You can get a letter from the school sayig you have completed your studies and will be awarded a degree on x date. I did it.

I spoke with a Delta Recruiter about this topic a while back. They said once your transcript is complete you can list it. Meaning everything is done and final GPA calculated. Their reasoning is that you can be degree complete and waiting for your diploma to arrive in the mail.

Don't think for a second you can sneak passed a recruiter as they WILL look at your graduation date vs when you listed that you had the degree when you applied. It's not worth it. Just wait until you are actually done. You can apply for graduation before being done so that doesn't really count for anything.
