It is 10 year FO pay, just so happens to be the same as 8 year FO pay. You would continue saying the actual year mark even if you max out so there is no confusion for upgrade. If he upgrades after 2 years then he is now on 12 year CA pay.

Yes. He'll have ten years longevity to start, and will accumulate additional longevity from there. The longevity will apply to all things normally, in the case of FO pay it's topped out at 8.

Why don’t you just go to mainline and make way more?
