Quote: The pilots with the”Alaska is the best place ever and long live Boeing” come from on of three groups here at Marley Air. The Myopic Horizon Drones, The Gigity Mchordites or the Sophmoric Legacy Brats....With the welcome ground swell of Virgin Eskimoes coming we may have a chance of drowning those 3 groups forever. Here is to hoping
For every QX drone, there's another who's even more rage-filled due to their double dose of Air Group BS. I know several recent QX hires, and stronger/more militant pilots are hard to find.

Quote: Well you are about to get 1,000 pilots that do not buy into of that crap.
Ha!!! Yeah. Right. Sorry, gonna have to call supreme Bullschitt on that one.

Ok, Eskimo Joe’s post is a perfect example of what I meant earlier by “the gift (to management) that keeps on giving”. Half a dozen posts urging everyone to stop and then this, as if none of that happened. Joe, how do you justify continuing this on this forum?

You guys having your irrelevant arguments on this forum is like two tomcats staring each other down oblivious to everything going on around them, including the coyotes that want to eat them for lunch. This is a threat to all of us. I hate to stifle people’s free expression but again, “Please don’t air your dirty laundry on these forums!”

My understanding of how the FA's got holiday pay is this: Flight Attendants were calling in sick for holidays, which prompted managers to meet flight attendants in the jetways following their trips and assigning them to work over the holidays that they had bid off. They were senior enough to hold holidays off, but were forced to work or face discipline. This then led to flight attendants calling in sick for the entire week before holidays so they wouldn't get forced to work on a day off. Then the company had huge staffing problems which forced them to strike a deal to get people to show up.

Quote: How long has VX had a unionized pilot group?
About 2 years. OTOH a lot of us have 15 through 35 year pins and gold and silver battle stars.

To steal some Virgin Atlantic marketing: Virgin. More experience than our name implies.

We come to drink your beer and shag your women!

Quote: The real reason FAs get holiday pay is because twenty years ago they adopted the Southwest contract. The have kept it because of sick time use and they have not bargained it away yet.
Yes, mostly correct but the year was ‘93, 25 years ago. CEO Ray Vecci settled F/A contract negotiations by agreeing to a deal that adopted SW contract which included double time for holiday pay. For better or worse they lost crew meals, migrated to ‘trip’ (formerly hourly) pay, sick leave point system and ability to work above 85 hour cap with no upper limit.

They would be a new addition and as long as they stay focused on Brad, Ben and Tom and not on our new brethren and sistren then they will be a welcome addition to the “No” vote club....

Quote: I'm getting sick of hearing VX act holier than thou and slinging mud our way. Your side has plenty of yes men picking up open time and working on vacation or just outright selling it and whoring themselfs out. Your premium pay emails get covered fast. We aren't perfect and have long ways to go but your side came in with no contract and no future. They hemorraghed cash and lost more than they ever earned. You had nothing and this merger gives you a 5th place contract which is much better than what you would have gotten if you stood alone. Stop attacking us and work together for a change.
Ummmmmm......6th place once Spirit leapfrogs us!

Well you’d better sack up and get used to it. NONE of us want to be Alaska pilots and hate that we are your comrades now. While this place is certainly so awful because of the leadership, it is almost equal blame to the spineless pilot group that calls themselves alaska that agreed to bend over for management. Latest case to point at is immeadiately caving on orange lanyards. Alaska is awful, you needed us more than we needed you.

BiloxiJack, to bad your post from a couple of weeks ago was deleted. The one you calling ALL Alaska pilots dilusional F$&*#)@. Way to set the tone flamer! Anyway I can only speak for myself in saying that I don’t want any of you on our seniority list. But it is what it is! I’m gonna “sack up” and extend a hand and make the best of it with our new adopted flight crew members. Maybe we can change some things in the future with our asswipe AirGroup parents.
You should take your angry ass and “sack up” and polish your resume skills and move on to maybe JetBlue perhaps........bye BiloxiJack!
