They seem out of touch.

Want my vote? Scrap the VB scheme....

We don't get to vote, only the MEC does, and they are on board with the scheme.

They’ve already expressed that they know what’s best for the crew force

I want to see one of these campaign emails say that the very first thing they will do in office is scrap the VB plan. I then want them to state that we will put our line in the sand for the next contract that there be a substantial increase to the A Plan.

I don’t think you’ll see or hear that from any of them. You should read their emails, they all seems to truely believe this is the real deal

I’d like to see a campaign letter that acknowledged the shortfalls in the proposed VB Plan, and acknowledged the negative impact a freeze and change would have on certain pilot cohorts.

I’d like more transparency, and a direct gauruntee that ALL questions submitted to the MEC retirement page will all be answered & posted.

I’d like to see a leader who takes the first step in communication - listening.

Then pauses, reflects, and acknowledges there may be other avenues we can explore.

That economic conditions in the airline industry have changed since our last contract.

That the recent success of other pilot groups was a function of challenging the message touted by management.

I’d like a leader to acknowledge that while many senior pilots feel the need to fix retirement quickly because they’re retiring soon, there are many who will have to continue work (and retire) under the assumptions being made in the new VB plan.

Changing to a VB plan will affect ALL hired in the future. That number is far greater than those on the property today.

Acknowledge. Pause. Listen. Research more broadly. Provide options. Debate!

I totally get the elect from within to keep the corporate knowledge flowing as it would take an outsider far too long to get spun up. That being said, it feels like any new candidate will be business as usual and that has been a negative trend lately. Im grateful for their voluntarism and dedication...just seems the vector is heading the wrong direction.
