Does anyone have info on Best Buy's corporate flight department?

I know that they operate at least one Cit. Excel but am not sure of what else. They used to run a Beechjet around too. I will check into it tomorrow.

Ok, they have 2 Cit Excels. Apparently they have been looking to upgrade for a couple of years now. They have taken demos in some of the larger Falcons and others but that was over a year ago. If you are looking for details such as pay and schedule I will see what I can find out.

Thanks for the info. Anything else you have would be great.

They are getting a Falcon ( I believe 900 ) in June and a Challenger 300 in December. Possbily one more Challenger 300 in 2008. Not sure what will happen to the Excels.

Here's the Falcon they are getting: http://www.dassaultfalcon.com/aircraft/900dx/

Probably still hiring. Last time I talked to their chief pilot he needed a few more crews for the Challengers coming up in the future. I think he was paying 105 on the Challenger and 115 on the Falcon. The Excel guys are somewhere less than that. Not sure about FO salary.

How does someone get into a position like this. I have 7.5 years at a regional, the last few months as a Check Airman, and I have been trying to get info on BB for years.

I would like to get back to MSP with a decent stable employer...one I could retire from.

Any informatin would be helpfull.

Well, when Dick Schultz passes away his flight department may go too. That's the case with all these corporate outfits. They aren't the least bit stable. No aviation industry job is.

Olympus Aviation is the company formed to manage the jets.
