So seriously, in this environment, are your junior people - the ones actually sitting reserve because they don't have enough seniority to hold a line - going to stay? It would seem like they would have relatively little to lose by taking their type ratings and the 121 hours they already have accumulated and putting applications out to other regionals with better QOL. Or are they encumbered by some sort of training contract?

These new reserve rules came into play after I became a
lineholder as an FO. It's unfortunate that these rules are
what's going to dictate when I choose to upgrade.
If I do end up staying here, I'm definitely going to hold off
on the upgrade until I can hold a line as a CA.
