I posted a similar thread on republics airline forum, now im posting one here. Why endeavor? Aside from pay, i want NYC base and looks like i can get it from both. I hear training is taking 4 months and reserve in NY for the 900 is taking 9 months. So, why Endeavor?

Money, work rules, free interview, more support from management and OCC than republic. These guys run the airline well, straight forward honest group.

If you want NYC and nothing else, then it's not a competition. Endeavor wins hands down in every area but shiny jets and not owning their own flight school. Yeah reserve is longer (not quite 9 months), but that's just because they've prestaffed growth. Once this growth is announced in what were being told is 45ish days, then reserve will reduce again.

If you want a NYC base, Endeavor is the place to be..That's all I have to say about that.

I'm not the head cheerleader for EDV (nor the head hater) but if you WANT NYC, then short of a mainline, this is BY FAR the best place. You will get to hold it instantly on either plane and become more senior faster and this IS your first base of upgrade opportunity by a long shot. The premium in pay that Delta is paying us to put up with that operating environment is significant for a reason but it adds up fast in your bank account too. It's a mess on a daily basis but if you go into things (as a line holder) understanding that the only thing sacred is your show time to start a trip, with lots of extra pay likely (and good grounds for a fatigue call if needed) then you are in the right place.

If you have a major delay and sit on the ramp for an hour over block time are you paid this hour at 150%?

If you're already receiving premium pay for that day, then yes. If not, then no, it's paid at 100%.
