Millers Landing in Seward rents Small outboard boats. You can try for Salmon, Halibut, Rock Fish, and Cod in the forjd. Not a bad drive from ANC. You can rent gear, or buy it at Walmart or Fredmeyer. The boat really helps cut down on the crowds. There is a reason they call bank fishing “Combat Fishing”. Isn’t worth the hassle. If you want to fly fish, lots of Rainbows and Dolly Varden to catch without the pressure in fresh water streams.
