Frozen Trips

Is there a way to easily see which trips are frozen and being withheld? I’m assuming there’s no way to do check before bidding closes, but how about once all the awards are posted and trip trading opens up?

TIA

Not sure what you’re saying, you talking about trips frozen by reserve pilots?
If so, trips can be frozen because guys need to considate, need landings, or just because we want a landing once in a while!

You can find them after the awards come out in PBS. Click on Reason Report and then click on "Show trip pools." Scroll through and you'll see which ones have been frozen.

A great example of a concession in the contract that we work under that United pilots overwhelmingly passed. **** on FOs who have their seniority routinely abrogated!

Hey new hire classmate (I think). He may be referring to trips frozen for the reasons you mentioned, and in addition, trips frozen for IOE. Example: you want pairing D1234 because it has a 30 hour overnight in a city during a hemp bracelet making convention you really want to go to. The bidding software shows it available and you bid for it, but unbeknownst to you, it’ll go to an LCA and be frozen for IOE.

To the OP, I don’t know of a way and that may be because the trips frozen for IOE haven’t been awarded to the LCAs yet. Once they’re awarded, it would be after the bidding window is closed and amendments to your bid wouldn’t be possible.

I’ve searched for crew lists on pairings I’ve bid for after awards come out to find no FO listed on the crew. It is frustrating.
