Hey guys.

I have a 2.5hr layover in Vegas next week. Is there anything cool to checkout at the airport? Is it worth taking a Lyft into the Strip?

Thank you & Happy Holidays!

If you can find a Sigma Derby game, it can be fun. I think the only one left is on Fremont. Otherwise Bingo can pass the time, if you’re budget gambling.

Zero Level Fitness outside security. Hang a left at the hanging airplane.

Unless you're senior to me then grab some Krispy Kremes on the way to Tacos and Beer.

Play the slots inside the terminal. If you win, no show your next leg then make it rain.

This. I won a few bucks off of them last time I had time to kill in the terminal.

In all seriousness, are you flying in airline or to one of the FBOs? If you're in the terminal, 2.5 hours isn't really enough time to leave and go do much. Keep in mind the rideshare area is quite a hike from any of the gates. If you're on the GA side, if it were me I'd hop over to Ellis Island. It's about a 10 minute drive from the airport, and they have good cheap food and a decent little casino. I'd 100% avoid the strip and the Las Vegas Blvd traffic with that little time.

Ellis Island has the best BBQ. Try their home brewed Root Beer. Worth the trip.

Koval and Flamingo.

Also the intersection where 2Pac was shot.

1. Hoover Dam.

2. Red Rocks Park. West of town, and absolutely stunning. Wear some hiking clothes; bring water.

3. Mt. Charleston, northwest of town. Never got to hike to the top, but a nice respite from the crowds and desert: trees, cooler air, a nice view, and during other seasons, snow.

4. Creech AFB. Not sure if they allow visitors, but it’s where the Thunderbirds practice. Call/internet to find their schedule, and then see if visitors are allowed.

The Chicken Ranch.

30min there. 60min visit. 30min back.

30min to spare.
