I did hear that at least a few of the American guys who went to the left seat of the 787 were former Qatar, Emirates and Etihad guys who wanted to spend a few more years flying in the States before retiring. The guys hired at Norwegian were never getting a call from a legacy. There’s a reason they were looking at the back door to widebody and international ops. Something in their personality or past would have kept them out. Now many of them think they are more hireable with Norwegian time. Instead they have the scarlet N to deal with.
