You can always download a lights and switches app on your iPad if you're feeling truly motivated. It's just rote memorization what every switch does and isn't company specific. I can't remember what the name of it's called but there is a pretty good one out there that costs money but well worth it.

Any particular subjects/topics to study before ?
Any particular recomendations before going DEN?

Not a whole lot to prep for as they really spoon feed you. The lights and switches app someone previously recommended is good. (you'll get this free however on your company ipad) If you are super motivated, there is a company called www.1stepprep.com they have a full systems course and oral prep that guarantees you will pass your oral. I did it prior to going to training because I had a lot of time off, $199 for three months access. The videos are engaging and easy to watch, complete oral prep video that goes over answers to oral questions and "preferred answers". Made the type ride and oral a non event for me. It's taught by two spirit guys and is put together well. Not an "approved technique" but you could split it with someone. Once I got to ground school, the classes just reinforced what I had already learned watching the videos. As someone already said, don't worry about the limitations because various companies have different ones - weird I know. Good luck.

This is despite having gotten 2 type ratings, and zero failures in the past 7 years of flying. He was told come back in 6 moths. Ummm.... are those failures gonna just disappear in 6 months? Not exactly the way to handle attracting new candidates. I am sure that these two guys will dissuade many others from even applying. Pure D!ck move to bring these guys out, have them spend time and money knowing they had the records they had to a) not even interview one and b) tell the other thanks but come back in 6 mos like his record was magically gonna fix itself.
This would never be stated on an interview, to an applicant, during the interview. In addition, in today's legal/HR environment, such a statement would never be given as a reason for failing the interview, which was unlikely staffed with anyone from the training department itself.

More anti Frontier BS.

No seriously, Indoc/systems is about 3 weeks. FTD/Sims are about 1.5 weeks and usually (but not always) start right after indoc/systems. IOE comes after your checkride and LOFT of course. It's all up to scheduling.

FTD- 6 sessions. Some days off in-between. Typical schedule is 3 or 4 on, 2 to 4 off, 3 on (or combination thereof).
SIM is 8 sessions, similar days on/off layout as FTDs. 9th is checkride
Expect total time to be 2 months in training

OE legs are whatever they are. No min/max number. Expect 3 to 4 trips on OE
IPAD provided
I don’t recommend looking over internet gouge (limitations/mem items as they aren’t necessarily the same as ours. Limitations and mem items are typically covered in class by the instructor to help explain some of them. There’s some discussions about providing these beforehand in the near future, which would be handy IMO
Theres nothing wrong with watching videos on how the FMAs work, or some basics on how the systems work, but as for memorizing non-company info…don’t waste brain cells!

Thank y'all, I have started watching some CBT videos and checking the flows. I'll take your advice into account.

I'm just telling you what two separate people said in two separate interviews. I'm not anti frontier. They were both interviewed by the person that goes by their nick name.

I have no idea who that is nor do I care. The point I think that's relevant is that we are turning away people still - in the application and interview stages. The real question is what RATE of declination is occurring. 30%? 50 or higher? So far, we've made minimal gains to the seniority list as of the past 1.5 years. Right now, there is a RACE to get qualified applicants. Not only is every airline hiring, but new hires can and do leave for what they consider greener pastures. In this current environment, it's impossible to calculate any sort of retention % as Im sure it's completely month to month. If AA or another shrinks/declares bankruptcy or say Skywest hits critical mass and decides to fold, then those statistics change.

Meanwhile, we remain at the bottom of the barrel. I suspect we will NEVER hit hiring/retention targets until conditions improve OR other airlines fail. The market dictates all.

As previously stated; in person, in Denver. Plan on being there from 6:45am to 4:00pm.

Yes, it's a long day.
