Because they were offered a class date and showed up?

Alex, I’ll take “New Aircraft orders for $500”

🙄 ohh good lord. Yes, I get that. I’m just saying it’s odd that people with heavy time are getting put into the second class. Are they possibly scaling back on hiring of corporate/regional guys?

At least a quarter of the class was corporate.

That’s great! It was just surprising to see that three quarters of the class were heavy pilots.

To be clear, I’m not at all saying only heavy guys should go to the MD or 74.

I was simply making an observation. This is the first split class to have people with heavy experience in the second class.

The issue of splitting classes rubbed the IPA the wrong way, but basically there is nothing we can do. They got us on this one.

Why are they doing it? Who knows. They were not doing it 2 years ago. You can surmise whatever comes to mind on “why”. But the bottom line is anyone who comes here can be taught to fly anything we have here. After 18 mos, they can bid what they want anyway.

Prior to the 2016 contract, the company would generally put people with heavy experience on the 74 and MD. My guess is they want to have that control back again.

They have done it prior to that though.
