Quote: ExpressJet is only operating what they can (barely) staff, which is currently around 100 aircraft. This is including the CRJ, which is going away soon.

The plan is to bring the E145 fleet up to 126, staffing permitting, while also fully staffing the 25 175’s this year. The E175 staffing is the higher priority.

Upgrade for a new hire will likely be very different from the 7+ year waits that people experienced in the past.

Upgrade time dropped 2.5 years in the recent bid, and future bids should cause it to drop significantly as well.
Got it. Thanks.

Talked to a really nice recruiter earlier and I told him this was my biggest concern with XJT.

Everything else about XJT is great, but the long upgrades times have got to be hurting recruiting.

It’s understandable for it to be a concern. TPIC is important.

A big reason why the upgrade time is changing is because ExpressJet did not hire/retain many FO’s over the past 5 years or so. A couple of these years have only 50 people or so on the list.

To put it in perspective, the company’s lofty goal of 600 hires in 2019 is actually more FO’s than what we even have on property. If they somehow even come close to this, it’ll allow more planes to be staffed, and many more upgrades to occur.

Quote: 600 pilots this year is laughable. I bet you don’t even get half of that! Truth is OO is taking their 200’s back to use on pro rate markets. Smoke and mirrors. Your CEO is a joke..I bet you don’t get any 145’s to replace them.

Ha! Frank is at it again!

In October of 2018. The rumor from the start was that they were just an accumulator until we got the E175's.

As part of the transaction, SkyWest has also agreed to lease 20 CRJ200s to ExpressJet for up to five years.
