Really?

Really?

How about "informative"?

Sure, we all make decisions for very important reasons, but please have the wisdom to constantly access those decisions as you go. To take insult at someone speculating about the future of your choice is just a bit snowflaky.

That is, unless I just plain missed your sarcasm. In which case, That is funny as sheeeeet!!!
Please enlighten me with info on What is the best choice for the first regional job? EWR/PHL base. P.S. Found nothing informative in your post, expect your personal opinion.

My point is, there is no disrespect voiced toward new-hires at XJT. If someone has an opinion that XJT is a great place to go, that's fine. If someone has an opinion that is it not a great place for a new hire to go, that's also fine and it does not cast disrespect.

It is unreasonable to expect everyone to be thrilled with your career choices. Just as you are entitled to that choice based on your criteria, everyone else is entitled to their opinion.

As messy and childish as this board is, I am sure the information posted here has prevented new hires from making some bad decisions.

My advice to any new-hire is to go to a regional which has a direct flow. The only real flow out there is the American brands. That being said, you have to be able to suck up all the other pitfalls that come with that: where are the bases? How long is upgrade? What's the pay?

Quality of life and many other factors may be much better at another regional, but if your goal is to fly for the majors as soon as possible, you should go for a flow.

The Delta DGI and the United CPP are not flows. Not even close.

It is awful the way some take glee in every kick to the jimmy at XJT.
I wrote "disrespectful" because I really do think it is a wrong thread for those comments. Basically saying we are all stupid for joining. I do not think XJT is great, but look around, not much better.
I do appreciate opinions as they helped me to decide on regional in a first place.

RJT-1y class date wait, 7m training

PSA-1-2y rsv with barely any flying time (all DH + base not guaranteed) 10y flow to AA, 4m training delay

PDT- Worst regional in the area. Unorganized, poor quality of life, 7-9y flow as of now and spiraling down, 3-6m training delay+6-8m training time (brother CA there)

XJT-Great training for first jet type (no delay), experienced CAs, downtown hotels, great benefits, looooong upgrade (family member senior FO)

P.S. Interviewed with all 4 with offers.

Xjet is a quality place with a solid contract and pay, good benefits, decent flexibility, and the upgrade time appears to be rapidly dropping. Last award went to an early 2014 hire and that should drop even further on the next bid.

Psa has a 4 month training delay?

Are you saying from when you’re offered? I haven’t see. That at all
