Does anyone know of any schools that offer a program that combines some of the time for the ATP-CTP along with initial training? I need to complete my ATP-CTP and am heading to KingAir90 school soon as was hoping that their would be a program that would overlap a little to save some time and money. At the end of the year I will be attending initial training for a Citation XLS+ and want to receive my ATP rating during that time and need to have the ATP-CTP completed along with the written prior to. Any advice would be appreciated.

The CTP course doesn't have much to do with the written or flying an airplane. The four hours of fixed based sim are boxology and it would be nice if those hours were in the type airplane you were going to fly. However there is a requirement that the sims represent airplanes with a max takeoff weight more than 40,000 pounds. So a King Air wouldn't count and I don't think a Citation would either. You can search for the list of "FAA ATP CTP courses" and that should let you know who can do it. There are only about 20 approved schools.

I recall a place in FL that has ATP CTP course in a 737 classic. They also do 737 classic types. CTP time in the sim would help with the type ride to get the ATP via the 737 type ride.
