Quote: What’s the best way to get my foot in the door? I have had an app in for over a year. My TT is on the lower end, any upcoming recruitment fairs? I understand they may not be hiring at this moment but want to get ahead of the next wave.
They said they will be attending all the major career fairs, and it sounds like there are some meet the chiefs coming up.

According to the ads posted, if you fly for Transstates you are in! Right? That may be one route.

While they do have a flow with us, it goes in seniority order. I’m not sure what year it’s currently at, but after the new contract was passed it was 15+ year CAs that we’re coming over. Before the contract is was 5 year guys. Probably not the best route if you wanted to get here and are just starting out.

On a side note, I heard that recently a guy who worked from TSA, quit his job so he could get an interview here out of seniority order. He didn’t get the job and had to start over at another regional.

If it’s the same guy, he interviewed with me. Felt bad, but it was kinda an extreme maneuver, and that’s probably how the recruitment team saw it as well.

Sounds about right......typical dipstick stuff from Riddle Rats frustrated that Mommy & Daddy couldn’t buy them a class date at a real airline..........no to mention the vignettes about the absolute total inability of anything airmanship related that the CKA are chortling about regarding the PurDon’t kids........definitely spiking the odds of metal being bent here.............imho.........

Well, that was a whole lot of assumptions.

Probably right though

I personally applaud this individual for taking a chance. I would have seen it as a plus. It’s easy to just sit there and wait for your number to come. That guy stuck his neck out to show he really wanted to work here. Now we don’t know exactly why he did not get selected, could be completely unrelated. Our hiring pilots do a good job.
