Hey guys and gals. My question is for the new regional hires captains and FOs.

I'm curious about QOL once you were able to hold a line. How soon did your QOL become not only tolerable but pretty good? Are we talking months or years to get improved QOL after reserve?

And maybe I'm naive, but is it possible that working reserve is not so bad, or does it royally suck?

If you don't mind sharing, state the time frame it took, which seat you fly and which regional you fly for.

I am here at PSA and my QOL been good on reserve and even better as a line holder (SAP). But the reason why is because I live in base. Living in base will always offer a higher qol vs commuting at any airline.

Reserve isn't that bad if you live in base.
If you commute, it sucks everywhere.
