If you had a choice, which is better? By better, I mean most flying while on reserve, and shortest reserve time. No family concerns, can crash in either one or live in either base.

Will take a LONG time just to get DFW.

ORD probably has better flying. DFW probably has more short legs, so more 5 leg days.

ORD.

Its a while to hold DFW and even longer to hold a line in DFW.

To hold ORD is not going to take that long, i don't believe. And a line will definitely come sooner unless a huge change takes place there.
