I heard 787s. It was kinda hard to sit next to the guy for the rest of the trip knowing he was insane and stupid.

Someone posted a "whisper" a while back that included:
40 x 777A
70 x 330A
46 x 350A

Had the LATAM deal not happened he might have turned out not to be so stupid. There were certainly people working on having 787’s flying by summer. I met a couple at recurrent. They weren’t happy about the LATAM deal.

Rofl, sure... 78 orders are 2-3 years out at the moment. So unless we gifted into an order schedule under the current market price for a 787 then maybe it would have happened... I would say we have a better chance of having a contract by 2021 then that happening.

Dont get me wrong, I'd love to fly a 78. With the USimb we would have to pay close to full price for them. So unless we decide to replace the 764 with a full price airframe with 78's it ain't happening.

Maybe we can get AeroMexico or LATAM to buy 787s at a deeply discounted rate and then sell them back to us. 😁

I still hear it’s in the works long term.

Itd been pretty impressive to acquire 787s, open an AE, train crews, get signed off by the Feds and have the interiors done in delta configurations in 6-7 months.

When will these 787 rumors die?
