Question about Application

I'm filling out application on AirlineApps and will soon be hitting the submit button. Can someone fill me in at all on the background employment/reference checks?

The application asks for supervisor and phone numbers for all your jobs - I've been in the Army for 26 years, all but two of my supervisors are retired already and many of the locations I was stationed don't even exist anymore. So, is it appropriate to put down my current bosses name/number for everyone I don't have a number for? He can verify all my employment - has known me for years.

Just trying to be thorough.

thanks.

I would list the actual supervisors by name and the best number you have for them, even if it's years out of date. They understand they may not be able to get hold of everyone but they want the accurate list.

You will need current contact info for those you list in the reference section.

Yeah, it can be tough if you didn’t get an evaluation to dig up the information. In some cases units no longer exist or have moved.

But I did research. Reached out to old buddies who remembered the names of my OBC and flight school CO’s. Sometimes the phone numbers are no longer valid and I put that down. Where units where disbanded I put the address I had but then someplace I put the fact that it was disbanded.

I’m on the road right now but should be home the 15th. PM me and I can give you a redacted copy of what I did.

I also recommend spending the money to get the app professionally reviewed before you hit the submit button.
