Are you guys usually weight limited from JNB-ATL, especially this time of year and deeper into summer?

Sorry, my question was kind of vague, but what I was actually trying to get at is if it is common for JNB-ATL to be weight limited. I wasn't looking to jumpseat, but I was rather surprised the 772 could do this nonstop, 7000nm westbound, from such a high elev arpt, esp when its warm.

I thought, for this reason, most of the flights from SA to the east coast stopped in the Cape Verde or similar, so when I saw this was direct, it got me wondering.

AFAIK the 200LR is the only plane in the world that can do it with a normal load. We definitely can be weight limited however especially when it’s hot. Bump thrust helps though, unlocks an additional 5K thrust a side.

The A340-500 could do an even better job, however they are virtually non existent anymore.
