Quote: Not trying to fear monger here, but I can't believe no one is discussing this. The global economy is screeching to a halt, the U.S. markets have fallen nearly 30% in the last couple of weeks. No one knows where the bottom is going to be, but with whole industries shutting their doors for at least two months, things will likely get worse before we see an improvement. AA has given options to their pilots to take a voluntary leave of absence this year. But no word on how we will be affected yet. Supposedly there will be some sort of airline bailout package, but no details as of yet. I hope I'm wrong in all this, but now is the time to start planning and preparing. Especially those on the bottom 50% of the seniority list.
all of this is correct except the first sentence. Who ISN’T discussing this? It’s the only conversation I’ve I with anyone for the last few days.

Taken from the DFW LEC Comm just sent out:

Quote:
At this time the Company has refused to entertain negotiations for protections specific to your increased risk of exposure.
This is completely unacceptable in the current climate. We need information and protection to do our jobs. The company is dropping the ball big time right now. If this thing starts spreading around between crews at work because the company does not have procedures in place, we will all pay a very big price.

In all seriousness, that's ****ing absurd. That's the first company negotiation I've heard that hasn't ended with "here's a tool to help if you get impacted by Covid-19."
