Quote: This post is not meant to bash our union guys, they are doing a good job so far.

With that being said, the union should at least send a NASTY email asking for more explanation why they decided to shutdown QT. Those cowards shutdown an hour after the union agreed with the LOA. They ****ed me off so much that I decided to pick up OT out of base. Do they really want us to be on their side? I think they are just uniting the pilot group to go against the company and their despicable behavior.

for the record- I know that QT is not company software.
The answer is to the suggested nasty email is easy. The MEC voted down the proposed LOA that would have allowed them to withhold OT. It’s retaliation pure and simple.

Of course, if WE retaliate, it’s an illegal work action.

Maybe the union guys know the reason? And are working on it?
I mean, I don't know, but just a guess.

The reason? We are dealing with rats, and people are scared of retaliation.

I think the pilot group would appreciate a nasty email against management.

I REALLY hope it’s not a negotiated solution.

Then send a comm out to the pilot group and don't leave us in the dark.

You should email the union guys and ask for that.

Someone mentioned a while ago that negotiating non-contractual issues can be tricky.

Management is negotiating in bad faith. They clearly showed us with the sudden shutdown of QT.

It’s like last year with the rejected AIP. MEC should have never been negotiating then. Should have been AIP or nothing. No reason to discuss anything else. And yet we got something else. I’m sure now, we’ll get some sort of reduced situation with QT... because that’s just what we do here, we allow bad management behavior.

well they cant cause you know they don't want to ruin the “relationship” with management. They know bad things are coming and they wont even warn the pilot group.

i don't blame them tho they are pilots not professional negotiators. The whole good moral character requirement goes out the window once you join management I guess.
