Not quite true. If you go overdue for landings, either you get a line check or you get another sim ride. If you miss your 6 month training, no big deal. That training is not an FAA requirement. The only requirement is the annual checkride (CLOE), and that is where you go non-current and have to go back to re-train. Personally, it doen't affect me, but these guys think they have figured it out if it passes within their 1 year training cycle.
After missing your CMV1 you need to get the short REQUAL course, 5 days of training.
After missing your CMV2 you need ot get the short REQUAL course as well.
It's after missimg 2 years that you have to go thru the entire 50 day course.
So, according to what the law is written right now, it doesn't look back. LOA or not, if your 60+ a day on the day of the law being passed, your hosed bro. Unless something is added at the last minute.
