Not like you will be battling UAL pilots for employee parking 😊

Understood. I'm not a daredevil (regarding not being in position), and that is what I was planning to do now that I can't really sit in a town close to be in position.

The question was more if the union or company had come up with any guidance besides NYC. A few friends had mentioned yesterday that they were proposing something along these lines of SC relief? I should have made it more clear in my first post. Thanks for the info so far.

Quote: No. I was saying the original 3.5 was pushing it and disagreeing with response that 2 hours is the callout required.
I've always known it's not acceptable from where I live, but I agree that there is no "set" callout time. The few times I've been on reserve Ive always been in position to be there within 2 hours.

WB shortcall: can pilots still deny Level 3 destinations? Thought we might have to let them know beforehand on SC...but did not read it officially???

Quote: That’s what I read. I’m not sure if it extends into May. If so, I’ll be bidding RES for this reason alone. There’s a good chance I won’t even work one day next month.
Could you please point me to the document you read? I’ve searched the ALPA memo and Weekly Flt Ops memo and can’t find it written.

Found it on the Flight Ops Skyhub Live video at at 12:00 mark.

Does it include May?

I found this in the Flt Ops Weekly Update from 1 April:

"Adjustments are being made in NYC to limit crew exposure, including reducing overall number of flights to the area, implementing a trial to eliminate short calls and decreasing early morning departures to reduce layovers and originations. Starting April 2, in order to keep people safe, there will be no short calls in NY until further notice"

Quote: I think I heard no NYC SC mentioned at one of the virtual town halls / FLT Ops Meetings, but I don’t think I have seen anything official...did I miss a memo or is it not official yet?
The company said they are looking at how often they need a shortcall pilot in NYC with the schedule reduction. IF they can operate without shortcalls and no schedule interruptions as a result they may eliminate them in NY.
