Quote: The most junior CA now is about 800 a 2/2016 hire and going to 342 a 3/2004 hire.
That was from the legacy ExpressJet side. The most junior CA going forward from legacy ASA is 341, a July 2000 hire.

Man I'm starting to think at this point we'll be lucky to get furloughed as opposed to "ExpressJet will cease operations on..."

Glad to know you guys are over that by now.

Truly devastating. I worked with so many great captains when I was there and seeing them screwed like this is painful to watch.

I tell people that this is a really cool job in an absolute garbage industry. Everything is rainbows and hotdogs until it all falls apart.

I'm way too new to care about all that old stuff. It just so happened that the most jr CA left standing was a legacy XJT guy and I was just pointing out that it was even worse - there are a lot of CA's displaced that were hired before 2004.

Yeah we can’t shrink to Commutair size and be an operation this big, and this top heavy. Every captain will be maxed out on the pay scale. 4 weeks vaca, and highest 401k match.

Relative to last year, as a percentage, things have not been getting better https://www.tsa.gov/coronavirus/passenger-throughput

They have been getting better. Total throughput compared to last year is now in the 85% reduction range compared to the max loss of 96%.
